Insurance Sales Advisor

A-Kan Insurance Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Licensed Insurance Broker to join our growing team in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with team to develop new business opportunities.
• Assist with quoting and placing new Personal and Commercial Insurance business.
• Communicate with clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Prepare and submit applications to insurance companies and follow up with underwriters.
• Review quotes and coverage options with clients.
• Service existing client accounts, including policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and general inquiries.
• Follow up with clients regarding outstanding information, documentation, payments, and renewals.
• Maintain accurate client and policy information within the brokerage management system.
• Build strong relationships with clients and insurance company representatives.
• Identify cross-selling and additional coverage opportunities where appropriate.
• Provide professional and timely customer service throughout the policy lifecycle.
• Follow brokerage procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta General Insurance Level 1 Licence is mandatory.
• Previous experience in Personal or Commercial Insurance is an asset.
• Experience with new business, policy servicing, or insurance brokerage operations is preferred.
• Strong communication and client-service skills.
• Ability to understand and explain insurance coverages and policy terms.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client files and follow-ups simultaneously.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, underwriters, and insurance companies.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the team.
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
