Insurance Section Analyst

Scope of Work

The client requires a full-time Contractor to assist with Insurance and Risk Management activities and related tasks.

The Contractor will assist with analyzing and evaluating contract scopes of service to recommend appropriate insurance requirements and critical terms and conditions. The Contractor will also ensure that Certificates of Insurance, both issued and received, and all related endorsements comply with established requirements.

The position requires strong oral and written communication skills across multiple audiences and organizations, as well as solid negotiation skills. The Contractor should have familiarity with and knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and the ability to:

• Analyze scopes of work and contracts for potential exposures and develop appropriate insurance requirements for contracts and other legal agreements.
• Review compliance with insurance requirements and Certificates of Insurance.
• Understand indemnity provisions in contractual agreements.
• Work effectively with internal colleagues, contractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
• Provide strong customer service and effectively communicate insurance and contractual requirements.

Contract staff will work alongside internal staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
• Preference for candidates with a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in an insurance agency, brokerage, underwriting position, or contract/legal work.
• Professional experience developing, interpreting, negotiating, and understanding commercial contracts, leases, and right-of-entry agreements; commercial insurance underwriting; or working with an insurance brokerage handling commercial property and casualty accounts.
• Candidates may be required to provide evidence of the knowledge, skills, certifications, and abilities listed on their resume.
• Selected candidates may be subject to a background check.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
