Insurance Senior BA

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Life & Health Insurance domain to support large-scale business transformation and change initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep business analysis capability with team leadership experience, enterprise thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex transformation programmes within the Life & Health Insurance sector.
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Business Analysts, fostering high-quality analysis practices and professional development.
• Drive continuous improvement of BA methodologies, templates, playbooks, and reusable artefacts.
• Define and assess business capabilities, value streams, and target operating models to support strategic objectives.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable requirements and solution recommendations.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise goals and target architecture principles.
• Conduct impact assessments across processes, operating models, systems, controls, and customer journeys.
• Facilitate workshops and decision-making sessions with senior stakeholders and business leaders.
• Identify and resolve conflicts between competing priorities, regulatory requirements, operational controls, and delivery objectives.
• Lead business readiness, change adoption, training, and communication activities to support successful implementation.
• Challenge requirements constructively and promote an enterprise-wide perspective when evaluating solutions.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment and effective stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive Business Analysis experience within the Life & Health Insurance industry.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale business transformation and change programmes.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing Business Analyst teams.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and people leadership capabilities.
• Expertise in Target Operating Models (TOM), capability mapping, and value stream analysis.
• Strong understanding of enterprise analysis, business architecture, and operating model transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior executives and department heads.
• Experience in requirements management, process improvement, and impact assessment.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.
• Experience driving business readiness, change management, and adoption activities.
• Ability to work effectively across business, operations, and technology teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in complex enterprise transformation environments.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Relevant Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or BCS BA.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.
