Job Title: Insurance Underwriter – Motor Insurance
Salary: 25000 To 35000

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter with experience in motor insurance, particularly private car insurance. The candidate will be responsible for assessing insurance proposals, evaluating risks, reviewing documents, and coordinating with insurance companies to ensure appropriate policy terms and premium calculations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess private car and motor insurance proposals.
• Evaluate risks based on vehicle details, customer information, claims history, and underwriting guidelines.
• Verify vehicle documents, registration certificates (RC), previous policy details, and other required documents.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for quotations, underwriting approvals, and policy issuance.
• Compare insurance premiums, coverage, deductibles, and policy terms.
• Identify high-risk cases and escalate them for approval when required.
• Ensure compliance with insurer guidelines and applicable insurance regulations.
• Support the sales and operations teams in resolving underwriting queries.
• Maintain accurate records of proposals, quotations, approvals, and policy documentation.

Eligibility Criteria

• Previous experience in insurance underwriting is preferred.
• Experience in motor insurance and private car insurance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of motor insurance products, policy terms, premium calculations, and underwriting guidelines.
• Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
