Insurance Verification

Duties:

• Verify health insurance benefits via Epic, phone and insurance portals.

Knowledge of deductibles, co-insurance and out of pocket expenses.

Prepare patient estimates and contact patients to inform of balance due.

• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding insurance benefits
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Experience:

• Previous experience in medical insurance verification.
• Proficient in using medical software and electronic health record systems. Epic experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
