Insurance Verification Coordinator

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our team at our New Kennedy-White Surgery Center. You will be responsible for the verification of patient’s benefits, the calculation of the patient’s financial responsibility, sending estimations for both insurance and self-pay and out-of-network patients to include No Surprise Billing estimates and/or Good Faith Estimates through email, text or phone calls. The Verifications Coordinator will be required to learn the Managed Care Contract Reimbursement Contracts as well as reference the CMS spreadsheet on approved ASC procedures when scheduling Medicare patients. The Verifications Coordinator is required to cross-train with the Admission, Scheduling, and Medical Records Coordinator positions. Other duties could include completing the daily payment log and verification of benefits along with other assigned duties. Hours 8:30-5:00 Monday thru Friday.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, while using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Experience working with Commercial payers, Medicare and Workers Compensation is required.
• Demonstrate ability to interpret and execute instructions delivered in various formats, while applying logical reasoning and practical problem-solving skills
• Must have strong communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and professionally by phone, in writing and face-to-face interactions
