Intake Coordinator

Job Summary
The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient intake process within our healthcare facility. This position involves managing patient information, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Collect and verify patient information, including medical history.
• Utilize Medisoft software for managing patient data and scheduling.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient needs and appointment changes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiology terminology to assist in coordinating radiology services when necessary.
• Support medical administrative functions to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Experience

• Previous experience in a front desk or medical administrative support role is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and electronic health records (EHR), particularly Medisoft.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of medical records management.
• Strong clerical skills with proficiency in using computers for data entry and record keeping.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
