We are seeking Integration & API Platform Engineers to keep our client's integration middleware running API gateways, message brokers, and event streaming platforms. You'll monitor flows, manage the API lifecycle, and resolve integration incidents as they come up.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor message queues, event streams, and integration flows for health and performance. Manage the API and MCP lifecycle, including versioning, deprecation, and throttle management. Maintain configuration for integration endpoints and credentials. Manage incident response for failed or degraded integrations. Manage capacity and throughput across message brokers and streaming platforms. Support root cause analysis and problem management activities to reduce recurring integration incidents. Maintain documented runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge articles for integration flows and known issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting integration middleware or API platforms in a production environment. Solid understanding of API lifecycle management and event-driven architectures. Comfortable troubleshooting integration failures under time pressure.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with API gateways and REST/SOAP API lifecycle management. Experience with Apache Kafka or AWS MSK. Exposure to MuleSoft or a similar iPaaS platform. Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch).

Pay: R100,00 - R1 000,00 per year
