Integration and Automation Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Integration and Automation Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will focus on designing and supporting secure application integrations and automation workflows that enable reliable data movement across critical systems. You will partner with application teams to modernize legacy transfer components, improve operational resilience, and strengthen authentication and access controls. The position also contributes to testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting efforts that support production stability and secure data handling.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $227,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design secure API and integration patterns for various platforms
• Build and support Azure Functions and Logic Apps for automation tasks
• Implement file generation and validation processes for data transfers
• Collaborate with application teams to modernize legacy transfer components
• Develop automated tests and monitoring systems for integrations
• Participate in security reviews focusing on authentication and access controls

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application integration, automation, or backend engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, APIs, and JSON
• Familiarity with file processing and secure authentication methods
• Experience in message handling, error recovery, and production troubleshooting
• Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language: Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of data security and integration architecture
