Integration Engineer & Database Developer - Contract, ACT

PERSOL is currently recruiting for two exciting opportunities with a Defence consultancy partner, supporting a critical Defence Targeting Systems Project. We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers and Database Developers with an active NV2 security clearance.

Contract Details

• Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite)
• Contract Duration: 220 working days (12 months) + 6-month extension option
• Security Clearance: Current NV2 mandatory
• Engagement: Contract

Available Opportunities

1. Systems Engineer - Defence Systems Integration

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with Defence verification and validation (V&V) processes.
• Conduct systems engineering activities, solution design, integration and technical assessments.
• Develop system architectures, interface specifications, high-level and detailed designs.
• Prepare technical procurement documentation, including AUSDEFCON, Statements of Requirement (SOR) and Statements of Work (SOW).
• Support technical reviews, product evaluations and Defence capability delivery.

Required Experience:

• Strong background in systems engineering, requirements management, integration and V&V.
• Experience working within Defence engineering frameworks and processes.
• Experience developing technical documentation and engineering artefacts.
• Familiarity with DOORS/DNG, MBSE or ADF targeting systems would be highly regarded.

2. Database Developer - Defence Targeting Systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain database solutions supporting Defence Targeting Systems.
• Support data storage, processing, integration and database performance optimisation.
• Develop and maintain database structures, data models and technical documentation.
• Work closely with systems engineering and integration teams to support capability delivery.

Required Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in database development, design and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, database performance optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with secure data environments.
• Ability to support complex systems integration and Defence ICT solutions.
