Integration Engineer – Java / Python

looking for an Integration Engineer to join our engineering team and help build reliable, secure, and scalable integration services.

You will work closely with senior engineers to develop REST APIs, integration adapters, microservices, and message-driven services. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will contribute to production code from the beginning while gradually taking ownership of integrations end to end.

The role is suitable for a Java/Spring Boot developer with experience in microservices and REST APIs. Strong Python/FastAPI experience is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop REST APIs and integration services using Java/Spring Boot or Python/FastAPI.
• Implement API validation, error handling, pagination, and secure authentication.
• Develop and maintain microservices and service-to-service integrations.
• Work with Spring Security, JWT authentication, and role-based access control.
• Develop Python services using FastAPI, async/await, Pydantic, and HTTP clients where required.
• Work with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or AWS SQS, including producers, consumers, retries, and dead-letter handling.
• Write reliable unit and integration tests using JUnit 5, Mockito, pytest, and Testcontainers where appropriate.
• Containerize applications using Docker.
• Work with Git/Bitbucket and follow pull-request and code-review practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Monitor and troubleshoot services using logs and observability tools such as ELK/Kibana and Zipkin.
• Debug integration issues in AWS-based lower environments.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and gradually take ownership of integration components.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, including OOP, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling, and basic Concurrency.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.
• Understanding of Spring Security and JWT authentication.
• Good knowledge of SQL, including joins, indexes, and transactions.
• Hands-on experience with Git and software development workflows.
• Working knowledge of Docker.
• Good understanding of HTTP, REST principles, JSON, status codes, and API communication.

Good to Have

• Python and FastAPI experience.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or AWS SQS.
• AWS exposure, particularly EC2, S3, SQS, or Lambda.
• Jenkins and CI/CD experience.
• JUnit 5, Mockito, pytest, or integration testing experience.
• ELK/Kibana or Zipkin experience.
• Redis and database migration tools such as Flyway/Liquibase.
• Experience with SOAP, XML/CSV, SFTP, or webhook integrations.
• Familiarity with SonarQube and dependency/security scanning.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
