Integration Lead

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Integration Lead to own and drive integrations between healthcare platforms, third-party systems, and external service providers.

This role sits at the intersection of business discovery, solution architecture, and engineering delivery. You will work directly with clients to understand their business operations, existing workflows, and how they use third-party services today. You will translate those needs into clear technical requirements and lead an engineering team to deliver successful integrations.

We are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture, navigate ambiguity, communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, and take ownership from discovery through delivery.

This is a flexible hybrid role, with most work performed remotely. Candidates should be based in London or the surrounding areas and able to attend regular in-person client meetings as needed.

What You’ll Do

Business Discovery & Requirements

• Engage directly with clients to understand their business processes, existing systems, and integration needs.
• Map current workflows, third-party APIs, data flows, and dependencies.
• Translate business discussions into clear technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define what success looks like for each integration and how it will be measured.

Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Design scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions.
• Evaluate third-party APIs, technical limitations, authentication, data mapping, and integration approaches.
• Make technical decisions and provide architectural direction to the engineering team.
• Work with external vendors to clarify API capabilities and resolve technical challenges.

Engineering Delivery & Ownership

• Lead a team of engineers through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Own integration delivery end-to-end, ensuring business requirements are met.
• Manage technical dependencies, identify risks, and proactively remove blockers.
• Ensure integrations are properly validated against real business workflows, not just API functionality.
• Establish visibility into progress, quality, and measurable outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong experience in system integrations and solution architecture.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex integration projects.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, data mapping, and integration patterns.
• Ability to lead business discovery and translate ambiguous business needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Experience working directly with clients, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to take ownership and drive results with minimal oversight.

Nice to Have

• Experience with healthcare platforms, EHR/EMR systems, patient scheduling, billing, or payment integrations.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data interoperability.
• Understanding of healthcare privacy and security requirements, such as HIPAA or GDPR.
• Experience with cloud-based and multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
