What they need
- We are seeking an Integration Technician responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of our autonomous surface vessels (ASVs)
- You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to ensure the seamless integration of various components and maritime systems
- You will be critical in delivering fully functional ASVs that meet the rigorous standards of the DoD
- The hours for 2nd shift are 2:30pm - 10:00pm
- System Integration: Collaborate with engineers to integrate hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems into ASV platforms
- Assembly and Configuration: Assemble and configure ASV components, including propulsion systems, navigation equipment, payloads, and control systems
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of integrated ASV systems
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to integration, ensuring timely resolution to maintain project timelines
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of integration processes, test results, and configuration changes to support documentation and quality assurance requirements
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, and project managers, to coordinate integration activities and achieve project goals
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience in system integration, preferably in the maritime or defense industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, and sensor technologies is preferred
- Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
