Build the Future of Autonomous Industrial Machines

Are you passionate about automotive technology, robotics, electrical systems, and hands-on hardware integration?

We're looking for a Vehicle Integration Technician to help transform conventional industrial machines—including forklifts, wheel loaders, and diggers—into autonomous systems through electrical, mechanical, and hardware integration.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, physical AI, and industrial automation while helping deploy innovative technology in real-world industrial environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Adapt and integrate hardware platforms, including power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, sensors, compute units, and controllers, across different vehicle models.
  • Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, actuators, and electrical components.
  • Install and adapt mechanical mounting brackets and hardware to fit different vehicles and machinery.
  • Perform continuity checks, voltage and power measurements, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Validate CAN bus and J1939 communications and troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems.
  • Assess vehicle requirements at customer sites and perform installation, commissioning, debugging, and acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues across electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve integration challenges and communicate hardware improvement requirements.
  • Document build issues and lessons learned to improve hardware integration kits and standardize deployment processes.

✅ Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 3–8 years of relevant experience in vehicle integration, automotive, robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery; the role description specifies 4+ years.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Hands-on experience integrating hardware and mechanical components onto vehicles or industrial machinery.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and CAN bus wiring.
  • Practical experience with wiring harness assembly, crimping, connectors, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and perform continuity, voltage, and power checks.
  • Experience using multimeters, power supplies, hand tools, and workshop equipment.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Austin, Texas, or London, UK.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites approximately 25% of the time.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the J1939 communication protocol.
  • Exposure to ECU systems, embedded programming, or low-level hardware integration.
  • Background in automotive engineering, autonomous driving, robotics, or industrial automation.
  • Experience retrofitting existing machines with sensors, controllers, wiring, and other hardware components.
  • Experience adapting electrical and hardware systems across different vehicle platforms.

🌟 Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Work at the intersection of physical AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and industrial automation.
  • Help make existing industrial machines autonomous without requiring customers to replace their fleets.
  • Contribute to deploying technology in real-world industrial environments.
  • Join a growing team and help establish repeatable integration and deployment processes.
  • Take ownership of hands-on technical challenges and collaborate across hardware and engineering disciplines.
  • Help scale innovative autonomous technology across different machines, vehicle brands, and customer sites.
  • Competitive equity and stock options.
