Intelligent Connected Vehicle Test Engineer

About the Role
Lead automotive regulatory intelligence and product compliance activities for Thailand and regional markets, ensuring vehicle products meet applicable regulations and certification requirements while coordinating with China HQ and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain channels for monitoring automotive regulations, standards, product certification requirements, market surveillance rules, and local requirements.
• Maintain an up-to-date regulatory database and track regulatory changes across relevant markets.
• Interpret new and updated automotive regulations and prepare impact assessments and product compliance recommendations.
• Review and evaluate regulatory compliance of vehicle models sold in the region and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Identify potential regulatory risks and support relevant teams in implementing compliance requirements during vehicle development and market operations.
• Liaise with local regulatory authorities, standards organizations, and key automotive industry associations.
• Represent the company in relevant automotive standards and regulatory development activities.
• Conduct regulatory briefings and training to strengthen internal understanding of local compliance requirements.
• Act as the key local interface between regional operations and the Standards & Regulations team at China HQ.
• Provide regular regulatory and compliance updates to Group Headquarters in China.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Electronics, Law, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in automotive product compliance, homologation, certification, or regulatory affairs.
• Strong understanding of automotive R&D, manufacturing, certification, and product compliance processes.
• Good knowledge of automotive regulations, standards, and regulatory requirements within Thailand and/or Asia-Pacific markets.
• Practical experience handling automotive regulatory compliance cases in the region.
• Experience with an automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, certification body, or automotive consulting company is preferred.
• Strong ability to monitor, interpret, and assess the technical and business impact of regulatory changes.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• English must be suitable for use as a working language.
• Chinese language skills are an advantage, not mandatory.
