Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse

Responsibilities for ICU Nurse:

• Deliver comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Continuously monitor patients' conditions, administer medications and treatments, and respond promptly to changes in patients' clinical status.
• Collaborate closely with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation while complying with infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients' families and caregivers where appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and continuous professional development.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Nurse Manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications for ICU Nurse:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an Acute Hospital's ICU, or at least 3 years of experience in A&E or Surgical Ward with a strong interest in transitioning to ICU.
• Passionate about building a career in Critical Care Nursing.
• Able to work rotating 3-shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced critical care environment.
