Interim CFO/COO - Private Equity

Aria Partners is delighted to be working in partnership with a small, established private equity fund looking to appoint an experienced CFO/COO on a 12-month maternity cover contract, commencing in January 2027.

This is a broad, standalone role with responsibility for overseeing the finance, operations and wider infrastructure of the business. With all key functions outsourced to external service providers, the successful candidate will take ownership of these relationships whilst remaining closely involved in the day-to-day running of the fund.

The role will encompass fund and corporate finance, oversight of external administrators, investor reporting, regulatory and compliance matters, and supporting the investment team and senior stakeholders. Previous involvement in fundraising processes will be particularly important.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Significant experience in a senior finance/operations capacity within private equity or similar closed end fund structures, ideally as a CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance.
• A background working in a smaller, entrepreneurial fund environment, with a genuinely hands-on approach and the ability to operate autonomously.
• Previous involvement in the fundraising process, including working with investors, advisers and external service providers.
• Strong understanding of Luxembourg fund structures and the associated operational and reporting requirements.
• Experience overseeing outsourced fund administration, accounting, compliance and other third-party providers.
• The ability to manage a broad remit, balancing strategic oversight with the practical demands of running a smaller fund.

This opportunity will suit an experienced CFO or FD level professional who is comfortable operating independently, enjoys the variety of a smaller fund environment and can hit the ground running with minimal handover.
