Interim Controller

StevenDouglas is partnering with a client in search of an Interim Controller for a 3+ month engagement. This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with 3–4 days per week in the office.

The Interim Controller will serve as the senior finance leader for the business, partnering closely with the President and leadership team and providing steady, hands-on leadership to a multi-site finance organization.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary finance advisor to the President and business unit leadership team
• Lead forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly business performance reviews
• Monitor key financial and operational metrics, including revenue, margins, EBITDA, inventory, working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditures
• Lead and develop a geographically dispersed finance team, including direct reports across multiple locations
• Provide oversight of accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal control activities
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support internal and external audit activities and maintain a strong control environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• 7+ years of progressive experience
• Prior Controller level experience
• Manufacturing industry experience
• Hands-on experience with Oracle
