Interim Controller – Real Estate

Beech Valley is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to support a real estate company during a critical period of financial leadership. This hands-on role will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and the month-end close process while ensuring accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate has significant controller experience, a strong accounting background, and expertise in real estate accounting.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close process.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
• Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Utilize Yardi to manage accounting and reporting functions.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Prior Controller experience required.
• CPA preferred.
• Real estate industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Yardi required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt and succeed in an interim environment.
