Conexus is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed consumer products company founded by a celebrity founder. The brand has scaled quickly to more than $100M in annual revenue with healthy EBITDA margins and strong year-over-year growth. It sells through major national retail partners, a growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce channel, and expanding international distribution.

The team is lean, creative and fast-moving, with revenue growing much faster than headcount. That creates a high-impact opportunity to strengthen infrastructure, controls and scalable processes ahead of a future transaction.

About the Role

The company is seeking a hands-on, operationally focused Interim Controller to step in immediately during a finance leadership transition. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll own the general ledger, month-end close, borrowing base reporting and financial reporting across retail, DTC and international channels. You’ll manage a team of 3 and partner closely with the Head of FP&A on margin analysis and executive-level insights.

What You’ll Do

• Roll up your sleeves on journal entries, account reconciliations and process improvements
• Own the monthly, quarterly and year-end close, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly borrowing base certificates and compliance reporting for the company’s line of credit
• Maintain hands-on oversight of the general ledger, including complex journal entries, inventory reconciliations and channel-level revenue accounting
• Oversee inventory accounting and COGS tracking under a contract manufacturing model across 100+ SKUs
• Manage multi-channel sales accounting across wholesale retail, DTC (Shopify) and international markets
• Partner with the CFO and Head of FP&A on gross margin analysis, SKU profitability and growth vs. margin tradeoffs
• Lead and mentor a team of 3 accounting professionals
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and close workflows in NetSuite to support transaction readiness

What You Bring

• Controller-level experience in consumer products, CPG or retail, ideally in a high-growth or PE-backed environment
• Strong inventory and COGS accounting experience, ideally with a contract manufacturing model
• Multi-channel revenue accounting experience across retail, DTC and international
• Borrowing base and lender compliance reporting experience
• Hands-on NetSuite experience
• Comfort being a true “doer” while leading a small team
• CPA preferred
