Interim Data Privacy Lawyer | c.5-7 PQE | Challenger Fintech Bank | London

A high‑growth challenger fintech bank is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer or Data Privacy professional to join its privacy function on a interim basis. This is an immediate start, offering the chance to step into a fast‑paced environment and make an impact from day one.

We’re looking for Data Privacy specialists at 5-7 PQE who are confident operating autonomously and comfortable managing hands‑on privacy work within a regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and responding to DSARs
• Handling data protection complaints and internal escalations
• Liaising with the ICO on regulatory matters
• Advising on GDPR compliance across the business
• Supporting ongoing privacy governance and documentation
• Working closely with stakeholders in a fast‑paced fintech environment

We’re particularly interested in lawyers with:

• Strong UK GDPR and Data Protection Act experience
• Proven background handling DSARs and complaints
• Experience engaging with the ICO
• Fintech or financial services experience (preferred but not essential)
• Confidence working within a small, high‑performing privacy team

Role Details

• Immediate start
• 6‑month initial contract, with strong potential for extension
• Hybrid / flexible working pattern, London‑based
