Interim Data Transformation Lead

£650–£750 per day | 6 months | Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Interim Data Transformation Lead to support a leading FMCG business through a significant period of transformation.

The organisation is looking to improve the quality, consistency and ownership of its data, creating stronger foundations for future ERP, digital, reporting and AI initiatives .

This is a business-facing transformation role rather than a pure technical data position. You will work across functions including Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial and Technology to understand the existing data landscape, identify areas of risk and establish a practical roadmap for improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the current data landscape and identify key quality, governance and ownership issues
• Develop and drive a pragmatic data transformation roadmap
• Establish clear data ownership, governance standards and controls
• Improve the quality and consistency of product, customer, supplier and financial data
• Lead Master Data Management and data remediation initiatives
• Support data readiness for future ERP transformation and migration
• Work across Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Operations and Technology
• Define appropriate KPIs and controls to measure improvements in data quality
• Engage senior stakeholders and build accountability for data across the business
• Ensure the organisation has robust data foundations for future analytics, automation and AI

The ideal candidate:

We are keen to speak with experienced interim Data Transformation professionals who can demonstrate:

• Previous Data Transformation leadership within FMCG, consumer goods, food & beverage, retail or a similarly complex environment
• Strong Data Governance and Data Quality experience
• Good understanding of Master Data Management (MDM)
• Experience supporting ERP transformation, migration or readiness programmes
• An understanding of the data challenges created by complex product portfolios, suppliers, customers and supply chains
• The ability to operate effectively across both business and technology teams
• A hands-on approach, comfortable diagnosing problems as well as defining and delivering the solution
• Strong senior stakeholder management

Rate: £650–£750 per day

Duration: Initial 6 months

Location: Hybrid

This would suit an experienced interim who has previously walked into a complex organisation, brought structure to fragmented or poorly governed data and created the foundations for successful business transformation .
