Interim Financial Controller

Financial Controller | Hospitality | London | 15-Month Contract

We’re partnering with a growing, multi-site hospitality business to hire a Financial Controller who will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and play a key role in its continued growth.

This is a broad, hands-on role covering financial control, reporting, audit, payroll, systems improvement and FP&A. You’ll lead and develop the finance team while working closely with senior leadership to improve processes, strengthen controls and provide meaningful commercial insight.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning month-end and year-end close and balance sheet integrity

• Leading and developing the finance team

• Overseeing AP, AR, payroll, VAT and statutory reporting

• Managing the external audit process

• Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting

• Providing commercial insight around trading, margins and cost control

• Driving automation and improvements across finance systems and processes

About you:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with 3+ years’ PQE

• Must have experience within a multi-site hospitality, retail, hotel or restaurant environment

• Strong month-end, year-end and statutory audit experience

• Commercially minded and confident partnering with senior stakeholders

• Track record of improving processes, controls and operational efficiencies

• Hands-on, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business

• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to BI tools is advantageous
