Interim Group Financial Controller (AR118000)

We are looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller to help a PE backed financial services company lead day-to-day finance operations and ensure the integrity of the financial reporting and control environment. You will own the month-end close, balance sheet management, and financial controls, while partnering closely with teams across the business to support continued growth, as well as take a lead on the audit process.

This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape and scale a modern, technology-enabled finance function. We're seeking a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional who combines attention to detail with a practical, collaborative approach.

This will be a full-time 5–6-month role, with a requirement to be in the office 1 day a week in London, the rest remote.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning and delivering the month-end close process and accurate management accounts
• Maintaining a clean and fully reconciled balance sheet, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and reconciliations
• Ensuring revenue is recognised accurately and commercial contract terms are reflected correctly in financial reporting and cash management
• Monitoring daily cash and liquidity positions and providing clear visibility to senior stakeholders
• Managing and enhancing financial controls appropriate for a regulated and growing business environment
• Supporting statutory audits and overseeing VAT returns, tax compliance, Companies House filings, and HMRC reporting
• Ensuring payroll and employee benefits are processed accurately and supported by robust procedures
• Partnering with teams including Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, People, Sales, Data, and Operations on financial matters

You'll ideally have:

• MUST HAVE Workday Financial Management experience
• ACA or ACCA qualification with strong post-qualified experience
• Proven experience managing an audit process
