Job Opportunity – Interim Project Systems Accountant – Efinancials migration to Technology One – Potential for outside IR35

Job Role: Interim Project Systems Accountant

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Location: Greater London

Hybrid: 2-3 days in office per week.

Rate: DOE

IR35: Potential for outside IR35.

Days: full time hours

Start Date: October

Main duties:

• Core focus is to run the project, hands on systems accounting of a Technology One end to end implementation.
• There will not be any management responsibilities.
• Day to day tasks consist of:
• Lead financial systems projects, upgrades, and implementations.
• Manage and develop the Council's corporate financial management systems.
• Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor financial and procurement systems.
• Manage system security, user access, testing, training, and documentation.
• Support budgeting, budgetary control, financial reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
• Work closely with Finance, ICT, software suppliers, and external stakeholders to resolve system issues and deliver improvements.
• This is very much a hands on systems accounting position and not a project manager role.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must have experience as a systems accountant doing an end to end implementation of an ERP system before.
• Specific experience using Technology One is desirable but not essential.
• It is also preferred that candidates have end to end ERP implementation experience within a local government setting.
