  • Monitor and analyse the Bank’s balance sheet, including assets and liabilities, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to optimise funding allocation and structure within regulatory constraints.
  • Act as Secretary to the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO), coordinating meeting packs, actions, and reporting.
  • Evaluate, develop, and execute interest rate hedging strategies, including the use of derivative instruments.
  • Assess hedge effectiveness and provide reporting as part of IRRBB requirements.

Liquidity & Capital Management

  • Maintain and enhance the Bank’s liquidity management framework, including cash flow oversight and liquidity buffers.
  • Review short and medium term liquidity forecasts working closely with the liquidity analyst.
  • Lead the preparation and review of Treasury regulatory returns, including LCR, PRA110, Treasury assets, basis risk and more.
  • Support stress testing, scenario modelling, and capital planning activities.
  • Develop or refresh ILAAP related documentation, methodologies, and supporting analysis to ensure the new format fully aligns with the SDDT regulatory developments.
  • Create new reporting templates and frameworks as required by regulatory change.

Controls, Governance & Internal Audit Actions

  • Strengthen the overall control environment across Treasury processes, embedding robust governance and documentation.
  • Maintain up to date procedures for all Treasury tasks, ensuring annual reviews and version control.
  • Own and manage Internal Audit findings and action plans, ensuring timely remediation and stakeholder updates.
  • Support enhancements to risk management frameworks, 2nd LOD interactions, and policy updates.

Operational Excellence & Team Development

  • Enhance and automate manual Treasury processes, reducing operational risk.
  • Ensure high quality management information is produced for senior stakeholders and committees.
  • Mentor and support the analyst, ensuring development and continuity of knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance to ensure cross functional alignment.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • 5+ years’ experience in a regulated PRA/FCA banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong experience in liquidity risk management, regulatory reporting (including LCR/PRA110), and balance sheet management.
  • Experience in financial modelling and stress testing.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory texts, technical papers, and policy documents.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.

Desirable

  • Part qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience working in a small finance/treasury function or transformation environment.
  • Familiarity with Treasury back office systems and finance reporting tools.
