Position Summary

The Interior 3D Rendering / Visualization Assistant supports the interior design team by producing accurate, high-quality interior and exterior visualizations from architectural drawings, floor plans, furniture and finish selections, material boards, and designer concepts. This is a rendering-focused production role: the design team establishes the concept and design intent, and the assistant translates it into clear, compelling, technically reliable visual presentations.

The role combines 3D modeling and rendering with Photoshop and AI-assisted image editing. The assistant determines what requires 3D modeling to preserve geometry, dimensions, proportions, and spatial relationships versus what can be efficiently resolved through Photoshop, compositing, or AI-assisted production. The role supports both fast-turnaround concepts and developed final renderings without primary ownership of design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

· Interpret 2D floor plans, interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, construction documents, and related design information to understand the intended space and scope.

· Translate designer concepts into accurate technical drawings, 3D models, photorealistic renderings, and presentation-ready visualizations, with rendering as the primary focus.

· Develop interior scenes from furniture plans and selections, fixtures, lighting concepts, and material selections.

· Create accurate 3D models as needed to preserve floor-plan geometry, dimensions, scale, proportions, circulation, camera perspective, and design intent.

· Use Adobe Photoshop and AI-assisted image-editing/visualization workflows for efficient modifications, composites, material studies, and conceptual images from incomplete or evolving information.

· Produce exterior visualizations from existing architectural drawings or imagery, using Photoshop to add or refine materials, shadows, landscape, and other presentation elements; complex exterior 3D modeling is not the primary focus.

· Collaborate with interior designers and visual communications team members to clarify design information, communicate alternatives, and incorporate feedback.

· Revise drawings, models, and renderings based on design feedback, project updates, and presentation requirements.

· Check drawings, models, and images for accuracy, scale, alignment, material representation, and consistency with project standards.

· Maintain organized project files, source materials, model assets, image-editing files, exports, and supporting documentation.

· Manage multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and visual quality.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Demonstrated experience producing interior 3D models, renderings, or visualization materials from design drawings or related project information.

· Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings, including floor plans, elevations, construction documents, and CAD/Revit-based information, and convert them into accurate visual output.

· Working knowledge of spatial relationships, dimensions, scale, proportion, camera perspective, materials, lighting, and interior detailing.

· Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop for editing, compositing, retouching, material/shadow/landscape additions, and presentation refinement, with sound judgment when using AI-assisted workflows.

· Ability to work from incomplete or evolving design information and produce accurate visualizations within short turnaround times.

· Ability to determine which elements require accurate 3D modeling and which can be resolved through Photoshop, AI-assisted editing, or compositing.

· Strong attention to detail, visual judgment, organization, and follow-through.

· Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers and respond constructively to feedback.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a production-oriented environment.

Software Requirements

Experience with one or more 3D visualization/modeling platforms such as 3ds Max, Revit, Blender, SketchUp, Homestyler, or similar tools. Experience with a rendering engine such as V-Ray, D5 Render, Enscape, or similar is expected. Adobe Photoshop experience is required. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics/logos and Adobe InDesign for branding/presentation packages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in an interior design, architecture, CAD, visualization, or visual communications department.

· Experience creating photorealistic interior renderings and presentation images for client review or internal design development.

· Experience using AI-assisted image editing, generative fill, image enhancement, or related visualization workflows in production, with the judgment to verify and refine AI-generated results.

· Familiarity with CAD or BIM workflows and using source drawings to establish accurate model geometry.

· Experience with finish schedules, furniture specifications, material libraries, lighting studies, or presentation packages.

· Experience creating or adapting exterior visualization images from existing building drawings or imagery using Photoshop-based materials, shadows, landscape, and compositing.

Please submit a résumé and portfolio showing relevant work, including a representative mix of technical drawings, floor-plan-based 3D models, interior renderings, material/finish studies, and image-editing or compositing examples where applicable. Before-and-after examples showing Photoshop or AI-assisted improvements may also be included. For each project, identify your role and, where relevant, the software or tools used.
