- Direct supplier design efforts and participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and expectations.
- Ensure all systems meet quality, performance, cost, and timing objectives.
- Partner with the advanced engineering team to develop, define, and package designs prior to sourcing.
- Act as the regional on-site support for interior alerting components.
- Develop and maintain boundary diagrams, interface matrices, parameter diagrams, DFMEA, and DVP&R documentation.
- Support system integration with surrounding components, ECUs, and vehicle network communications.
- Conduct benchmarking, competitive analysis, and research on emerging technologies.
- Contribute to quality and warranty initiatives through technical evaluations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for design and process-related issues to improve customer satisfaction.
- Support RFQ processes by performing technical evaluations and providing recommendations.
- Lead suppliers in the development, testing, and release of hardware/software aligned with vehicle-level objectives.
- Review and approve software and hardware releases, including validation reports (CVVRs, DVP&Rs).
- Report development status regularly through presentations, issue tracking, and project timelines.
- Apply design best practices and lessons learned from past projects.
- Collaborate with EE systems engineering to define vehicle functional specifications and perform requirements analysis (RAR).
