Freelance Interior Architect – Mid to Senior Level

Day Rate: Up to £300 per day (DOE)

Contract: Freelance - Outside IR35

A well known London Design studio is seeking a talented Freelance Interior Architect, ranging from Mid to Senior level, to support the delivery of high-end residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced design professional with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering exceptional interiors.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working on high-end residential schemes, with a strong focus on producing and delivering comprehensive drawing packages from concept through to technical design. A confident user of AutoCAD, they will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with wider project teams, and ensuring design intent is translated into accurate, high-quality technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and deliver detailed technical drawing packages for high-end residential projects.
• Develop and coordinate interior architecture drawings from design development through to technical delivery.
• Use AutoCAD to produce accurate plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings.
• Work closely with interior designers, architects, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective design coordination.
• Ensure all drawings and documentation meet project requirements, quality standards, and deadlines.
• Resolve technical design challenges while maintaining the integrity of the original design intent.
• Manage workloads effectively and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple project stages where required.

Key Requirements:

• Experience as an Interior Architect at Midweight to Senior level.
• Demonstrable experience delivering drawing packages for high-end residential projects.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency is essential.
• Excellent technical detailing and construction drawing skills.
• A strong understanding of interior architecture, materials, finishes, and residential detailing.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with project teams.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

The Opportunity

The role offers a day rate of up to £300, depending on experience, under an Outside IR35 freelance arrangement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute their technical expertise to high-end residential projects, supporting the delivery of considered, well-executed interior architecture.
