Interior Design Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our creative team. In this role, you will support the design process from conceptualization to execution, assisting with project management, drafting, 3D modeling, and client communication. Your enthusiasm for interior design and proficiency with CAD and rendering software will help bring innovative residential interior projects to life. Part time position salary depends on experience. will be two days in office to start.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating detailed drawings, construction documents, and presentation boards using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Develop 3D models and renderings for architectural visualization and client presentations.
• Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking project milestones for residential interior design projects.
• Conduct building code analysis and ensure design compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to coordinate design details, lighting solutions, and renovation plans.
• Prepare construction detail documentation and manage revisions to ensure accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to building information modeling (BIM) processes using tools like Revit and Rhinoceros 3D for efficient project workflows.

Experience

• Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar programs.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software including 3ds Max or Rhinoceros 3D for architectural visualization.
• Knowledge of construction detail documentation, building code compliance, and remodeling processes.
• Experience managing design projects from concept through completion within a residential setting.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, and graphic presentation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Prior involvement in drafting, rendering, or graphic design within a professional art or interior design environment is highly desirable.
