Interior Design Assistant

Are you passionate about interior design, commercial furniture, and creating functional, inspiring spaces? We are looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Interior Design Assistant with design experience to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in interior design who is ready to take the next step in their career, contribute to exciting commercial interiors projects, and work collaboratively with clients and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing commercial interior design concepts and furniture layouts.
• Select and coordinate furniture, fabrics, finishes, colors, and materials.
• Support space planning and furniture specifications for commercial environments.
• Prepare design presentations, proposals, product selections, and client materials.
• Research furniture products, maintain samples, and coordinate with manufacturers and vendors.
• Assist with pricing, quotes, orders, and project coordination.
• Communicate with clients and team members to help ensure projects run smoothly.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and project details.
• Assist with new product design concept.
• Work with marketing to share designs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in interior design, interior decorating, commercial furniture, or a related field.
• A strong eye for color, scale, proportion, and design aesthetics.
• Familiarity with furniture selection, space planning, and interior finishes.
• Proficiency with common computer applications; experience with CAD, 20/20 or other design and space-planning software is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Someone who combines creativity with practical thinking, enjoys working through design details, and understands how furniture and space work together to create effective commercial environments.

Experience in office furniture, corporate interiors, hospitality, healthcare, or other commercial spaces is beneficial.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
