Interior Design Consultant (GBA Area)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical consultancy for cross-border interior and commercial renovation projects in the Greater Bay Area.
• Lead project feasibility studies, design and scheme reviews, and engineering risk assessments, issuing professional technical reports to support business decisions.
• Review interior design proposals, construction drawings, material selections, and cost documentation submitted by mainland partner organisations. Benchmark them against prevailing GBA industry standards, codes, and acceptance requirements.
• Serve as the lead technical contact for GBA projects; liaise closely with mainland partner teams, contractors, and clients; chair cross-border technical meetings.
• Oversee and coordinate cross-border design and engineering team collaboration, standardising working procedures and delivery standards.
• Keep abreast of the latest building and interior industry regulations, construction technologies, and new materials in the GBA.
• Manage the full project cycle of technical documentation, conducting regular project reviews and post-project appraisals.

Entry Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture, Interior Design / Interior Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil or Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of solid working experience in the interior design and architectural engineering industry, with a strong understanding of GBA commercial and office interior project operations.
• Leadership: Proven experience in independently managing professional design and engineering teams of 20 or more members.
• Professional Qualifications: Must hold valid professional qualifications recognised by national or international industry authorities.
• Travel Requirements: Willing and available for frequent cross-border travel, including long-term or regular onsite assignments in GBA mainland cities.
• Languages: Fluent in Mandarin with excellent oral communication skills. Proficient in bilingual Chinese and English.
• Soft Skills: A true team player with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and cross-regional communication skills.
