What they need
Interior Design Project Coordinator
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Bridgid Coulter Design is a boutique interior design studio with more than 20 years of residential, hospitality and commercial work. We design layered, timeless spaces that honor the people who live and gather in them, using natural, sustainable and repurposed materials wherever we can. Alongside client projects, the studio develops custom furniture and textiles.
We are a small, hands-on team. The principal leads every client relationship and design direction, supported by trusted consultants for interior architecture, drafting and specialty work.
THE ROLE
The Interior Design Project Coordinator keeps the studio running and every project on track. You will be the hub between the principal, our consultants and drafters, vendors, showrooms and clients' schedules, so nothing falls through the cracks between design and install.
This role suits someone extremely organized, calm under deadlines and happy to move between a drawing set, a vendor call and a showroom pickup in the same day. You report directly to Bridgid Coulter Cheadle, Principal. There is real room to grow toward a full-time Project Manager role as the studio grows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Project coordination
Track project schedules, budgets and deliverables in Studio Designer
Keep time, billing and expense records current so clients are billed accurately and on time
Coordinate deliverables and deadlines with outside consultants and drafters
Attend design meetings, take notes and follow up on action items
Vendors and procurement
Place and track orders; confirm acknowledgments, lead times and delivery dates
Follow up with vendors, workrooms and fabricators, and flag delays early
Manage receiving, deliveries and returns with warehouses and installers
Client and showroom scheduling
Schedule client meetings, site visits, showroom appointments, deliveries and installs
Prepare samples, tear sheets and materials for client and site meetings
Pick up and return samples from showrooms and vendors
Drafting support
Assist with floor plans, space plans and redlines in AutoCAD or ArchiCAD
Keep drawing logs and plot and distribute drawing sets
Review shop drawings and submittals against the design intent, with the principal
Studio operations
Organize cloud files in Google Workspace and keep project folders current
Maintain the design library and the samples and FF&E inventory
Handle mail, shipping, office supplies and general studio admin
Support on-site work, including installs and photo shoots
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
3–5 years coordinating projects in an interior design, architecture or related studio
A degree or certificate in interior design, architecture or design management, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD or ArchiCAD
Working knowledge of FF&E, finishes, lighting and materials, and how orders move from specification to install
Exceptional organization and follow-through across multiple projects and deadlines
Clear, warm written and verbal communication with clients, vendors and consultants
Comfort on a Mac and in Google Workspace
Reliable transportation for showroom, vendor and site visits
A plus
Working knowledge of Revit or SketchUp, enough to read and mark up drawing sets
Proficiency in Adobe programs for client presentations and communications, choosing the right tool for the job, such as InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar
Experience with Studio Designer or similar project and accounting software
Comfort using AI productivity tools to streamline admin work, such as scheduling, email drafts, meeting notes and project trackers. Design work at BCD remains human-led; AI is not used for design creation.
Experience with custom furniture, textiles or hospitality projects
SCHEDULE, LOCATION AND PAY
