Interior Designer & Project Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Interior Designer & Project Coordinator to join our interior design team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of interior design, technical drawings, materials, site execution, suppliers, and project coordination. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating projects from the design stage through execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate interior design projects from design development through site execution and handover.

* Prepare and maintain project task lists, timelines, priorities, and pending items.

* Follow up with the design and technical teams to ensure drawings, revisions, details, and required documentation are completed on time.

* Coordinate closely with the Technical Team and have sufficient technical knowledge to review drawings and identify missing details, discrepancies, or coordination issues before execution.

* Review drawings and ensure they are coordinated and ready for site execution.

* Coordinate with the Site Supervisor and conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress.

* Follow up on site execution and ensure work is aligned with approved drawings, specifications, materials, and design intent.

* Monitor workmanship and quality and follow up on site issues until they are resolved.

* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding quotations, samples, availability, lead times, orders, and deliveries.

* Prepare and maintain a complete Materials & FF&E list for each project.

* Identify all required project items in advance, including furniture, lighting, wallpaper, curtains, fabrics, finishes, sanitary ware, accessories, custom-made items, and other project requirements.

* Ensure materials and FF&E are selected, approved, ordered, and delivered according to the project schedule to avoid last-minute delays.

* Assist with material and FF&E selection when required.

* Prepare and/or review BOQs, material take-offs, specifications, and project documentation.

* Coordinate with clients when required regarding material selections, approvals, project updates, and pending decisions.

* Identify potential delays or missing requirements early and take proactive action before they affect the project.

* Provide clear project updates to management regarding progress, pending items, procurement status, site issues, risks, and upcoming deadlines.

Requirements

* Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

* Previous experience in interior design project coordination and site execution.

* Strong understanding of technical drawings, joinery details, materials, finishes, and interior fit-out works.

* Experience coordinating with technical teams, site teams, contractors, and suppliers.

* Ability to prepare/review BOQs and material take-offs.

* Good knowledge of FF&E and material selection.

* Strong organizational and project follow-up skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and quality.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

* Proactive personality — able to identify what is required without waiting for constant instructions.

* UAE interior design/fit-out experience is preferred.
