Interior Designer - Architect

About the role

This is a design role in hospitality architecture and interior design, requiring the development of schematic design solutions, preparation of design presentations, and creation of detailed construction documents in alignment with project criteria, program requirements, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop schematic design solutions aligned with project criteria, program requirements, and budget constraints.
• Assist in preparing and delivering design presentations that meet office and client standards and effectively communicate design intent.
• Collaborate in shaping the overall design direction of projects and effectively communicate the design vision to the project team.
• Provide regular project status updates to the Senior Project Designer and/or Project Director and maintain proactive communication with all project team members.
• Attend site meetings and support the Project Manager in reviewing and assessing project progress.
• Ensure efficient service delivery by tracking assigned tasks against the project schedule and actively participating in quality assurance and project review processes.
• Prepare and review detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical details, and schedules for finishes, plumbing, doors, fixtures, and furniture, ensuring compliance with quality standards, code requirements, and design specifications.
• Contribute to the development and continuous refinement of the firm’s design standards.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in the hospitality industry and incorporate relevant insights into design strategies.

About You

• Graduate of Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in hospitality design, preferably with a reputable architecture or interior design firm.
• Strong design aptitude with a creative and innovative approach.
• Intermediate technical proficiency in establishing design parameters and executing design solutions.
• In-depth understanding of hospitality design principles, materials, finishes, and related products.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), AutoCAD, Revit, Design Manager, Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, and other relevant design software.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and intent.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and reasoning.
