What they need

WeedeN was established in Thailand in 2022 and is now the #1 retail cannabis brand in the country, operating 50+ boutique stores across Bangkok, Phuket, Samui, Krabi, and Pattaya. We are scaling toward 75+ stores in 2026 and building an integrated ecosystem that spans retail, clinics, digital platforms, and distribution.

Our slogan is “Cannabis Freedom.” We are not just opening shops. We are building the future of this industry.

Our Vision

To be the most trusted and loved cannabis retail brand in Southeast Asia, combining responsible consumption with elevated customer experiences that set a global standard.

Three Core Pillars

  • Responsible Consumption: We prioritize the well-being of our customers above all else. Every product, every interaction, every recommendation reflects this commitment.

  • Elevated Experiences: Cannabis is about embracing joy and finding moments of delight. We guide customers to a state of mind where joy knows no bounds.

  • The Spirit of Joy: We spread happiness and positivity through every encounter with our products and our people.

Why Work With Us

  • 100% legal and secure. We have professional doctors and clinics in our business, guaranteeing a safe, long-term workplace.

  • A friendly, experienced team that loves solving interesting challenges and sharing new skills.

  • Global vision. We are already known in the US, Europe, and Asia, and work closely with international partners.

CULTURE: HOW WE WORK (MANDATED STANDARDS)

These are not aspirational values. They are mandatory operating standards for the Business Development Department. Every team member is evaluated against these behaviors.

  • Continuous Improvement: We constantly elevate our processes and the quality of our work. It is standard practice to think ahead and anticipate the next two steps. If you are not improving, you are falling behind.

  • Attention to Detail: There are no small things. High precision, focus, and thoroughness are built into the foundation of every daily task. Sloppy work is not tolerated.

  • Fast Sync: We value each other's time and project momentum. The standard is to reply across all channels within a couple of hours. This keeps workflow smooth and truly agile.

  • Team Support: Any major success is a shared achievement. Our culture is rooted in a readiness to always step up and support colleagues. We only succeed together.

  • Proactivity and Persistence: Mere execution is common. We bank on proactive thinking. Giving up is not in our vocabulary. If one approach fails, we analyze, keep trying, and always find an alternative.

Working at WeedeN also means embracing a startup mindset: we move fast, adapt quickly, and build as we go. Transparency is non-negotiable. We share openly, give and take direct feedback, and put the customer first in every decision.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Candidates with relevant professional experience and a strong portfolio may also be considered.

  • 3+ years of professional interior design experience.

  • Experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, commercial interiors, or rollout projects is a strong advantage.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating completed commercial interiors, technical thinking, material knowledge, and the ability to turn concepts into buildable spaces.

  • Strong skills in functional zoning, furniture layouts, circulation routes, customer flows, functional relationships, and back-of-house spaces.

  • Advanced proficiency in 3ds Max and rendering software such as Corona, V-Ray, or equivalent.

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Ability to prepare plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, furniture drawings, finish schedules, and coordinated construction documentation.
    Additional Professional Skills

  • Practical understanding of general, accent, decorative, task, display, and signage lighting.

  • Understanding of colour temperature, beam angles, glare, and the coordination of lighting with ceiling and electrical plans.

  • Ability to prepare finish schedules, furniture and equipment lists, quantities, supplier references, and clear procurement information.

  • Experience reviewing site photographs and information, checking mockups and samples, preparing markups, and contributing to snag lists.

  • Confident use of Google Drive, Google Sheets, Excel, project trackers, and shared filing systems for schedules, specifications, issue logs, and reporting.

Soft Skills

  • Hands-on design mindset. This role combines creative design, detailed documentation, resolution of site-related issues, and end-to-end ownership of assigned local design projects, including design acceptance. It is not limited to concepts or visualisations.

  • Self-management and systematic work. The designer must organise files, check their own work, control versions, and manage deadlines without repeated reminders.

  • Clear communicator. Ability to communicate visual and technical information clearly, explain design solutions to non-designers, and translate site comments into precise drawings and markups.

  • Calm under pressure. Ability to prioritise correctly and solve problems without compromising quality.

  • Multi-project capacity. Ability to handle several projects and task types simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, deadlines, and a clear communication history.

  • Mobile and site-ready. Willingness to travel to project sites across Thailand and participate in construction inspections and store openings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Brief Analysis and Space Planning

  • Lead assigned local store design projects end-to-end as the responsible designer — from brief analysis and concept to working documentation and design acceptance.

  • Study the project brief, project goals, operational requirements, site information, budget parameters, and opening schedule.

  • Develop zoning, circulation routes, furniture layouts, display placement, customer flows, storage and back-of-house areas, and functional relationships for new and renovated locations.

  • Identify missing information and potential design risks at an early stage before moving to the next project stage.

2. Concept Design and Brand Adaptation

  • Develop interior concepts that adapt the WeedeN brand to the specific location, market, store size, and customer profile.

  • Prepare mood boards, reference selections, colour and material palettes, concepts for key features, lighting direction, signage integration, and presentation materials.

  • Adapt approved brand elements consistently to different store formats without mechanically copying solutions that do not suit the specific site.

  • Present concepts, document feedback, and revise the work within the agreed number of iterations and project deadlines.

3. 3D Modelling and Visualisation

  • Create accurate 3D models based on approved layouts, actual dimensions, technical constraints, specified materials, furniture, lighting, and signage.

  • Prepare realistic visualisations that clearly communicate the intended design to management, contractors, suppliers, and operations teams.

  • Keep approved changes aligned across layouts, 3D models, elevations, presentations, and material schedules.

  • Use AI-generated imagery as a controlled design-development tool and never present technically impossible or uncoordinated visuals as construction-ready solutions.

4. Working Drawings and Technical Documentation

  • Prepare complete working drawing packages, including general arrangements, demolition and construction plans, floor finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, lighting layouts, electrical coordination, elevations, sections, and details.

  • Develop counters, furniture, shelving, display units, feature walls, signage zones, decorative structures, and joinery details with accurate dimensions, materials, and installation logic.

  • Coordinate design documentation with engineering systems, lighting, air conditioning, fire safety, security, IT, signage, equipment, and landlord requirements.

  • Maintain drawing numbers, revision dates, issue status, approval history, and an organised project folder structure.

5. Materials, Furniture, and Specifications

  • Select and specify materials, finishes, equipment, loose furniture, decorative elements, hardware, lighting, and custom-made items suitable for commercial use.

  • Prepare finish schedules, furniture and equipment lists, sample boards, supplier references, and technical information for procurement and construction.

  • Review material samples, shop drawings, mockups, prototypes, and supplier documentation for compliance with the approved design.

  • Propose alternative materials and details when required by budget, lead time, availability, durability, or site conditions while preserving the approved design direction.

6. AI-Assisted Design Workflow

  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, concept exploration, visual references and presentations, image editing, option development, and routine documentation.

  • Build repeatable prompt structures and workflows that improve the speed and consistency of store concepts, materials, lighting, furniture, and visual presentations.

  • Validate every AI-generated output against the actual brief, dimensions, brand standards, construction methods, and available materials before use.

  • Share effective AI methods, prompt templates, and workflow improvements with the Design & Engineering team.

7. Site Support and Design Acceptance

  • Prepare responses, sketches, and markups for contractor questions and clarify design intent when required.

  • Travel to store locations and active sites for on-site design reviews upon request.

  • Participate in site inspections, compare completed work with drawings and approved samples, document deviations, and prepare clear corrective comments.
