Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, space plans, and material palettes based on project requirements.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and material schedules.
• Coordinate interior design requirements with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other consultants.
• Review and approve material samples, finishes, mock-ups, and shop drawings.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the implementation of design plans and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, revisions, specifications, and site reports.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, accessibility standards, and project guidelines.
• Assist in project scheduling and coordinate design deliverables to meet construction deadlines.
• Conduct punch-list inspections and monitor rectification works through project completion.
• Support the project team during turnover, including final inspections, as-built documentation, and close-out requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design is required
• Professional License (PRC) as an Interior Designer is required
• Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
• Expertise in space planning, layout, color schemes, lighting, material selection, custom furniture, and interior installations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines.
• Willing to conduct regular site visits.
