Interior Designer

Job Purpose:

To develop creative and functional interior design solutions that meet client needs and project goals. The Interior Designer collaborates with team members to produce presentations, drawings and specifications, contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to develop interior design concepts that respond to client requirements and project briefs.
• Prepare presentations, mood boards, materials palettes, and visual storytelling tools to communicate design intent, and produce accurate drawings and documentation for all project phases
• Coordinate with CAD and CGI teams to ensure consistency and clarity in technical drawings and visualizations.
• Contribute to space planning, material selection, and FF&E specification in accordance with project goals, budget, and standards.
• Assist with contacting suppliers, sourcing samples and preparing documentation for client and internal design reviews.
• Participate in internal design critiques and workshops, offering ideas and supporting iterative development.
• Attend project and client meetings with senior team members as required, taking minutes or preparing follow-up materials.
• Communicate and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers as directed by the Project Lead.
• Ensure that all work adheres to office design standards, quality expectations, and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records and filing of design documents and drawings in accordance with studio protocols.
• Able and willing to perform tasks commonly assigned to junior designers when required.
• Accurately record all work-related time spent in weekly timesheets
• Performing other duties as assigned, in alignment with the company’s discretion and organizational needs.

Requirements/Job Specifications:

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience on commercial or workplace interiors projects.
• Experience in delivering projects through multiple design phases.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Strong presentation and visualization skills using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Google Workspace
• Office furniture brand familiarity and experience in selection / specification
• Material sourcing and specification, control sample management
• Experience in redlining / reviewing shop drawings under supervision
• Experience in FF&E vendors contacting & coordination
• Space Planning experience
• Good English skills – spoken & written
