Interior Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and experienced Interior Designer to join our dynamic team at Kumpulan Hamodal Sdn. Bhd. Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, you will be involved in delivering innovative, functional and aesthetically appealing interior design solutions for a variety of commercial and residential projects.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements, preferences and project objectives.
2. Develop conceptual designs, space planning, detailed drawings and presentation drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp/Enscape and other relevant software.
3. Select and specify suitable materials, furnishings and finishes based on the design concept and project budget.
4. Prepare project costing and quotations and ensure designs are practical and commercially viable.
5. Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and vendors throughout the project implementation.
6. Conduct site visits and ensure the design is implemented according to approved drawings, quality standards and project timelines.
7. Stay updated with current interior design trends and perform any other duties assigned by the Company from time to time.

What We're Looking For

1. Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or residential interior design.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Enscape and graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
4. Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials and construction practices, with good attention to detail.
5. Creative with strong visualisation, design and problem-solving skills.
6. Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors and internal teams.
7. Mandarin/Chinese speaking candidates are preferred.
