Interior Designer

Vibe Design Collective is a boutique interior design studio in Steamboat Springs Colorado, specializing in high end residential and commercial interiors. Our work ranges from new construction and renovations to full furnishings projects, with a strong focus on both the overall vision and the details that give a home its character. We collaborate closely with architects, builders, artisans, and trades from the earliest design stages through installation.
Our studio is collaborative, hands-on, and detail-driven. We value strong design judgment, initiative, thoughtful problem-solving, and a team approach, with the goal of creating homes that feel distinctive, personal, and enduring.

Job Requirements

-5+ years of interior design experience
-Experience taking projects from early design through installation
-Experience with both furnishings and interior architecture
-Strong understanding of residential construction and detailing
-Excellent space-planning, sourcing, and presentation skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active projects-Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of work
-Technical mastery: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Excel, with the ability to review and collaborate on high-quality drawing sets, detailed furniture plans, complex custom detailing, elevations, and presentation
models, and to coordinate design information into architectural models.

-MUST LIVE IN COLORADO (preferably Front Range based if not in Steamboat Springs) and willing to travel to Steamboat Springs 1x per quarter at a minimum.

Responsibilities

-Lead residential interior design projects from concept through completion
-Develop overall design concepts, palettes, furniture plans, material selections, and specifications
-Prepare presentations, mood boards, finish selections, furniture plans, and design packages
-Select and source furniture, lighting, fabrics, rugs, artwork, accessories, and custom pieces
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, showrooms, artisans, and trade partners
-Coordinate with architects, contractors, builders, and other project professionals
-Review drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and architectural details
-Prepare and manage project budgets and purchasing
-Track orders, lead times, deliveries, and installations
-Conduct site visits and oversee installations to ensure design intent is executed properly
-Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
-Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and design assistants
-Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and project partners

Summary

This is a position requiring at least 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and option to work remote. It does not require residing in Steamboat Springs but residency in the state of Colorado is a must. Candidates must also have the availability to travel to Steamboat 1x per quarter at a minimum.
