What they need

Role Purpose:

The Interior Designer is responsible for reviewing, commenting on, and following up with external design consultants on interior design (ID) items across URED's residential apartment and hotel projects, reporting to the Lead Architect.

The role ensures ID packages are technically sound, brand-consistent, coordinated with architectural design, and delivered on programme — acting as URED's in-house point of technical judgment on ID matters across multiple concurrent residential and hospitality projects

Job Responsibilities:

Interior Design Review & Coordination

  • Review and comment on ID consultant submissions (concept, schematic, detailed design, and FF&E packages) for residential apartments and hotel projects.
  • Follow up with designers to close out comments and ensure revisions are incorporated on schedule.
  • Coordinate ID design integration with the architectural design led by the Lead Architect.
  • Check ID drawings and specifications for consistency with URED's brand and quality standards across projects.
  • Flag ID design decisions with cost, programme, or buildability implications before they progress further.

Multi-Discipline & Multi-Project Coordination

  • Coordinate ID scope with architectural, MEP, and joinery/fit-out packages to avoid clashes and gaps.
  • Track ID coordination status across multiple concurrent residential and hotel projects.
  • Support clash detection and design coordination reviews on ID-related items.
  • Manage RFI responses from site on ID matters, in coordination with the Lead Architect.

Consultant & Documentation Management

  • Direct and follow up with external ID consultants and designers on deliverables, revisions, and quality expectations.
  • Review consultant ID submissions for technical quality, completeness, and compliance with brief.
  • Maintain ID drawing and document registers within Procore.

Tenant & Operational Coordination

  • Review tenant and operator ID submissions (e.g. hotel operator fit-out standards) for compliance with URED's design guidelines.
  • Provide technical input on FF&E and fit-out specifications to ensure operational functionality.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support design-stage feasibility input on ID scope, standards, and typical costs for new projects.
  • Execute other design-related tasks assigned by the Lead Architect.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in interior design, including hands-on review and coordination of ID consultant packages for residential and/or hospitality projects.
  • International experience required.

Skills:

  • Interior design review and technical judgment
  • Consultant coordination and follow-up
  • Multi-project, multi-discipline coordination
  • AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D visualisation tools
  • Procore drawing and document registers
