Job Description

Roomy Furniture & Interior is looking for a talented and customer-focused Interior Designer to join our team in Palarivattom, Calicut.

The candidate will understand customer requirements, prepare interior and furniture designs, recommend suitable furniture solutions, prepare quotations, and coordinate with the sales and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet customers and understand their interior, furniture, style, and budget requirements.
• Prepare furniture layouts, space plans, 2D drawings, and 3D designs.
• Design living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, kitchens, offices, and other spaces.
• Recommend suitable furniture, materials, colours, finishes, and accessories.
• Prepare quotations based on customer requirements and finalized designs.
• Present designs to customers and make revisions based on feedback.
• Coordinate with sales, production, delivery, and installation teams.
• Conduct site visits and take accurate measurements when required.
• Ensure designs are practical, functional, and within the customer's budget.
• Follow up with customers regarding quotations, design approvals, and orders.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, measurements, quotations, and customer requirements.
• Support the sales team in converting design enquiries into confirmed orders.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in interior design or furniture design is preferred.
• Freshers with strong design skills may also apply.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, or similar software is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of furniture, materials, measurements, and space planning.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work within deadlines.
• Willingness to visit customer sites when required.
