Interior Designer

1. Job Summary

The Interior Designer will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing interior spaces for offices, hospitals, medical colleges, and other commercial facilities. The role involves space planning, preparing design layouts, coordinating with architects and contractors, selecting materials, and ensuring timely project completion within the approved budget.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space-planning solutions.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, floor plans, and detailed working drawings.
• Use AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other relevant design software.
• Select furniture, lighting, flooring, wall finishes, fixtures, and other interior materials.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits and supervise interior design and installation work.
• Monitor project progress, quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure efficient utilization of available space and compliance with applicable safety requirements.
• Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), material specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review contractor drawings and ensure execution as per approved designs.
• Identify design issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, and progress reports.

3. Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or technical training will be an added advantage.

4. Required Experience

• 25 years of relevant experience in interior design and project execution.
• Experience in commercial interiors, hospitals, medical colleges, or corporate offices will be preferred.

5. Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit
• Adobe Photoshop or other rendering software
• Space planning and working drawings
• Material selection and estimation
• BOQ preparation and vendor coordination
• Microsoft Excel and project documentation
