Interior Estimation Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Interior Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of experience working in an interior design or interior fit-out company and a strong understanding of interior materials, quantity take-offs, material calculations, and cost estimation.

The candidate should be able to read interior drawings, understand project requirements, calculate the quantities of materials required for each work item, and prepare accurate estimates and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for residential and commercial interior projects.

* Read and interpret interior design drawings, floor plans, elevations, and working drawings.

* Calculate material quantities for each item of work, including plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, glass, mirrors, gypsum boards, electrical items, and other interior materials.

* Calculate quantities for modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, storage units, partitions, false ceilings, and other custom interior furniture.

* Understand material specifications, sizes, thicknesses, grades, brands, and applications.

* Calculate material consumption, wastage, and requirements based on project drawings and site measurements.

* Prepare material costing, labour costing, and overall project estimates.

* Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and vendors.

* Coordinate with the design, procurement, production, and site execution teams.

* Maintain accurate estimation sheets, BOQs, and project cost records.

* Ensure estimates are accurate, cost-effective, and prepared within project deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.

* 1–2 years of relevant experience in an interior design or interior fit-out firm.

* Good knowledge of interior materials, hardware, finishes, and furniture components.

* Strong understanding of quantity calculation and material estimation for interior works.

* Ability to read and understand interior drawings and measurements.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for preparing BOQs and estimation sheets.

* Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.

* Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
