Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Interior Fit-Out Draftsman with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE interior fit-out industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, joinery drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, site requirements, and applicable UAE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed interior fit-out drawings, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Develop shop drawings for partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, furniture, and other interior elements.
• Prepare detailed joinery and custom furniture drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and other project disciplines.
• Conduct site visits and measurements to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site changes and final project requirements.
• Revise drawings in accordance with consultant comments, client requirements, and site instructions.
• Coordinate with project managers, interior designers, engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design concepts, material specifications, and project standards.
• Assist in preparing material details, drawing submissions, and documentation for consultant and client approval.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
• Support site teams in resolving technical and drawing-related issues during project execution.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out projects is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, joinery details, and finishing works.
• Experience preparing shop drawings, joinery drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of site coordination and technical drawing standards in the UAE.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Previous experience with UAE interior fit-out contractors.
• Familiarity with commercial offices, retail outlets, restaurants, hospitality, and residential fit-out projects.
• Practical knowledge of site execution, fabrication requirements, and installation details.
• Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.
