Interior Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Interior Production Manager to manage the complete production process for modular interior projects.

The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, material coordination, quality control, production timelines, vendor coordination, and dispatch planning to ensure all products are manufactured according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, customized furniture, hardware, materials, production processes, and interior project requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Management

• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
• Review approved drawings, BOQs, and production requirements before manufacturing.
• Prepare production schedules according to project priorities and delivery timelines.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timelines.
• Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks.

Modular Furniture Production

Manage production of:

• Modular Kitchens
• Modular Wardrobes
• TV Units
• Crockery Units
• Bedroom Furniture
• Beds & Bed Back Panels
• Pooja Units
• Storage Units
• Office Furniture
• Customized Furniture

Production Team Management

• Manage production supervisors, carpenters, machine operators, helpers, and other factory staff.
• Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Monitor productivity and workforce utilization.
• Train team members on production standards and processes.
• Maintain discipline and safety standards within the production facility.

Quality Control

• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct quality checks at different stages of production.
• Inspect dimensions, finishing, edge banding, hardware fitting, alignment, and overall workmanship.
• Identify production defects and ensure timely rectification.
• Reduce material wastage, rework, and production errors.

Material & Inventory Coordination

• Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores teams for timely availability of materials.
• Monitor consumption of boards, laminates, hardware, adhesives, fittings, and other materials.
• Ensure proper material storage and handling.
• Minimize material wastage and production losses.
• Coordinate material requirements based on upcoming production schedules.

Machine & Factory Management

• Monitor the utilization and condition of production machinery.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of machines.
• Ensure machines are operated safely and efficiently.
• Optimize production processes to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

Production Drawing Coordination

• Coordinate with the Design and 2D Drawing teams to clarify technical requirements.
• Review production drawings before manufacturing.
• Ensure production teams have the latest approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify design or technical issues before production begins.

Dispatch & Installation Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Managers and Installation Teams regarding production completion.
• Ensure finished products are properly checked, packed, labelled, and dispatched.
• Plan dispatch according to site readiness and installation schedules.
• Ensure materials reach the site safely and on time.
• Resolve production-related issues during installation when required.

Vendor & Outsourcing Management

• Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors for outsourced production.
• Monitor vendor quality, pricing, timelines, and delivery.
• Ensure outsourced work meets company standards.
• Develop and maintain reliable vendor relationships.

Cost & Productivity Control

• Monitor production costs and labour efficiency.
• Reduce material wastage and unnecessary production expenses.
• Improve production processes and workflow.
• Monitor productivity per worker/team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Experience

3–10 years of relevant experience in:

• Modular Furniture Manufacturing
• Interior Production
• Modular Kitchen Production
• Furniture Manufacturing
• Interior Design & Execution
• Factory Production
• Woodworking / Furniture Industry

Candidates with experience managing large-scale modular interior production facilities will be preferred.

Qualification

• Diploma/Degree in Production, Mechanical, Interior Design, Furniture Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant practical production experience will be given significant importance.
