What you can expect:

As an Intermediary Compensation Operations Administrator, you will:

  • Analyze proposed compensation arrangements to determine support requirements, resource needs, and risk exposure; prepare related reports to assist with decision making.
  • Establish and maintain intermediary compensation arrangements within company systems in accordance with their contract terms.
  • Execute and coordinate the monthly automated process for calculating and distributing compensation related to Federated Hermes domestic funds.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including client services, finance and accounting, and legal operations, as well as vendors to support payment activities, resolve issues, and respond to inquiries.
  • Assess business initiatives and product changes affecting compensation, determining system and operational impacts and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate departmental projects and activities related to internal and external audits, business continuity, procedure reviews, and tax reporting.
  • Serve as a technical expert by maintaining knowledge of relevant Federated Hermes and vendor systems, as well as departmental procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve service quality, strengthen controls, and reduce operational risk through business and system improvements.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of business operations experience required, with experience in financial services operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting information from multiple sources, such as systems, contracts, policies, procedures, and business requirements, to support operational decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong track record of maintaining accuracy and quality in operational processes while adhering to established controls and mitigating operational risk.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across business teams.
  • Experience coordinating projects preferred.
