Koller & Hassall are a well-established Chartered Accounting firm based in Rangiora, working with a diverse range of small-to-medium businesses and rural clients. We take our work seriously, but we don’t believe you have to take yourself too seriously!

We’re looking for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our friendly, professional team.

What will you be doing?

Your days will be varied and will include:

• Preparing annual financial statements
• Preparing GST and income tax returns
• Completing tax and compliance work
• Preparing quality workpapers for review
• Assisting clients with their MYOB or Xero records and accounting queries
• Communicating directly with clients and helping them with their day-to-day accounting needs
• Managing your workflow and meeting important deadlines
• Working alongside the wider team to get the best outcomes for our clients

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Around 3+ years’ experience in a New Zealand accounting practice
• A solid understanding of NZ accounting and taxation
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Confidence using MYOB or Xero
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
• Strong communication skills and an ability to build great client relationships
• A willingness to learn, develop and keep up with changes in the industry
• A team-first attitude and a good sense of humour

A CA or CPA qualification, or someone working towards one, would be advantageous.
