Intermediate Accountant

Our client is a mid-sized, reputable public practice located in the CBD, looking after a varied client group across Melbourne and nationally. They're growing steadily and want an Intermediate Accountant ready to step up.

About the Role

You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, working alongside the partners and managers on more complex matters.

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships

• Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance work

• Assisting with tax planning and business advisory

• Building strong relationships with your clients

• Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other relevant parties

• Working with managers on complex jobs and learning from them

About You

• 3+ years' Australian public practice experience in tax and business services

• CA or CPA completed or in progress

• Solid knowledge of Australian tax legislation

• Experience with practice software such as XPM and Xero

• Strong attention to detail and able to manage deadlines

• Confident communicating with clients
