We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Lawyer to join a reputable commercial and dispute resolution law firm. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in litigation, commercial law, legal advisory and contract management, with the ability to provide sound legal advice and effectively manage client matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle litigation and dispute resolution matters, including drafting and reviewing court processes.

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documents.

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports and advisory documents.

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, company matters, investments, banking and regulatory issues.

• Manage client matters, case strategies, court processes and deadlines.

• Handle debt recovery activities, including negotiations and recovery documentation.

• Monitor changes in Nigerian laws and regulations and advise clients on relevant developments.

• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the growth and development of the firm.

Requirements

• LLB and BL with a minimum of 2:1.

• Minimum 5 years post call experience in a reputable law firm.

• Strong experience in commercial law and litigation/dispute resolution.

• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical and advisory skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

• LLM and/or ICSAN is an added advantage.

• Must be proactive, professional, commercially aware and able to work effectively under pressure.
